Man follows late father’s footsteps as train driver
A young man from a small town in Colorado is honoring his late father’s memory by following in his footsteps and becoming a train driver.
Since he was a young boy, John Smith has always been fascinated by trains. His father, who worked as a train driver for over 30 years, would often take him along for rides and teach him about the ins and outs of operating a locomotive.
Tragically, John’s father passed away unexpectedly last year, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication to his job. Determined to carry on his father’s passion for trains, John decided to enroll in a training program to become a certified train driver.
After months of rigorous training and exams, John finally received his certification and landed a job at a local railway company. He now spends his days driving freight trains across the state, just like his father did before him.
Reflecting on his journey, John says, “I know my dad would be proud of me for following in his footsteps. Being a train driver is not just a job for me, it’s a way to honor his memory and keep his legacy alive.”
